Annual International Guitar Festival

The guitar and its many different interpretations are celebrated during Montpellier’s International Guitar Festival, held at venues all over town, including Rockstore, Opéra Berlioz, Opéra Comédie and Théâtre Jacques Cœur. The festival is a trip around the world with musicians from countries as diverse as Australia, Venezuela and the United States. Tickets cost between €16.50-€48.50. ARTeNIM Contemporary Art Fair
September
Local contemporary artists work exhibited and for sale. The 2007 8th annual Nimes international contemporary art fair, ARTeNIM, showed that the event goes from strength to strength, this year welcoming about 14,000 visitors over the four day opening period. Visitors come to view and buy works from 70 exhibitors, including paintings and sculptures from some of the region’s leading commercial galleries, as well as enjoy performances and presentations from leading lights in the international art world. The 2008 fair is set to be of equal success.

The semi final will take place on Friday 19 September (2 matches), with the match for third place and the final on Saturday 20 September (2 matches). The cost is 10 € for the 2 Friday matches, 10 € for the 2 Saturday matches and 18 € for a pass for all 4 matches
